Inside Look at a Few Shorts

Granny’s Cookies

My directorial debut. We filmed in my kitchen with a skeleton crew. This is also my script writing debut. That process was fun because this the first time I was able to get two people that didn’t sound like robots.

I loved working with my actors Lily Shirley and Analiese Smith. They were both fantastic. I wrote Harley with Lily’s voice in mind and she nailed it. I hadn’t thought about who I was going to cast for Jade but once I heard Analiese reading the dialogue I knew she was perfect.

Count to Three

Jacob Wooten is by far the best young film maker I know. This project was an absolute blast to work on. I was his script supervisor and on one day of filming had to fill in for audio. The way Jacob runs sets is such a breathe of fresh air. He makes sure the actors are safe and comfortable, as well as making sure the crew is set up as best he can.

If you go to his YouTube not only will you see work I helped with off screen but you’ll also stumble upon me acting once or twice. He is such a great friend and director that I was willing to break my “no acting in college” rule.

Salt & Pepper

My stop motion debut. This is the first project I did at Webster University. My father and I were the whole crew.

Don’t be alarmed! Your speakers are not broken. I was told to make a silent 1 minute film and took that very literally.

Keep an eye out for Spring 2025! Salt and Pepper may be the couple we all know and love but that hasn’t always been the case.
